RVSAR members are very experienced in GSAR and avalanche terrain response techniques. Service is primarily provided to the Valemount and McBride RCMP and BC Ambulance Service areas. Founded 1990 RVSAR has four SAR managers that work proactively in the community promoting cooperation among response agencies, land managers, provincial ministries and community organizations.
